I realize it's been quiet here - NDA's have been cramping my blogging.  I did grab a moment to try out the free 3d program Sculptris. I have never done 3D before and I didn't even bother with any tutorials - just started pulling and pushing. I have to admit - I kind of loved it. I hope to continue with Sculptris and eventually head into Zbrush.  This stuff is too fun.

The paint job was done in Photoshop CS3 which doesn't take advantage of the 3D paint abilities of CS5.  Time to upgrade I think!

CRAZY! This is a really cool looking experiment here, I just might have to do one of my own as soon as work calms down a bit ;)

Love the rim light touch, man. This is awesome.

I think you're on to something with this Sculptris. Really awesome sculpt and that texture work really brings it to life. Nice!

Eric- my man thanks so much. Yeah - I think you'd really dig the program and especially since you are interested in getting a job in video games. Even if you stay 2D , the knowledge of 3D is really useful.

Deivison- thank you so much! Can't wait to see your texture and watercolor experiments :)

Mike- thanks amigo! You should try it to...would love to see what you come up with!
