Acrylic sketch of Dylan:
This was done from ref I took of my son and then quickly painted in my new sketchbook. The goal was to only use a very limited palette. The colors were: Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Quinicridone Red, Ivory Black, and Titanium White.

love the cools in the shadows, Scott. and that wild hair too. How do you like working with the acrylics compared to the oils?

Todd- thanks! I think I will try some more using this palette :)

arkdaddy - thanks dude! Well- I like oils about 10x's more to be honest. I've never used quality acrylics, so maybe I should invest in some. The easy setup, cleanup and drying time is very appealing with acrylics, so they are perfect for quick sketches like this.
