I've been really interested in "animating" some illustrations lately, so I took a practice run. It's quite primitive and not all that exciting, but I hope to get better at this. Any tips or good sources I should look at are greatly appreciated.
While I was making the animated GIF file, I decided to throw a quick process of the drawing while I was at it. Hopefully, I'll be returning to these soon with something a bit more ambitious to show. Thanks for looking!

If I had an ounce of your talent I would be a very happy man indeed. One thing I have learnt in this life: never put yourself down, as there are always those out there more than willing to do it for you.
So be proud, your work is brilliant and a joy to view. Thank you for that :o)
This rocks. I'd love to do something like this for a website splash page.

Jean- haha..thanks so much my friend. Can't wait to see the new paintings you've been working on!
Ahhh! I LOVE everything about this drawing! I agree that you are on to something wicked! I also love how you maintain the hand drawn quality of the image (so beautiful) even though its got the techy animation happening. You've got to push this idea and see where it takes you.
