I am extremely pleased to announce that CFSL  will be selling the book from the collective Gorilla Artfare.
It's an honor to be a part of the collective and book. I have to say, I have seen a PDF of the book and it looks incredible. You can check out a preview here  : PREVIEW

I just finished the sequel to Harrison Geillor's "The Zombies of Lake Woebegotten"
which will be called " The Twilight of Lake Woebegotten". You can see where this is going.

I was directed to spoof on Grant Wood's "American Gothic" painting, and (sort of) suggest the characters of "Twilight". I had to avoid a direct likeness because of jumbo lawsuits. No thanks!

Started in oils and finished up digitally:

Love the take on American Gothic. Very Marcel DuChamp. You should post that on FB. That would be a huge hit...

Great illo scott, love the colours you use and depth that you get.

BTW Scotto, saw your book in the art store yesterday, the cover actually drew my attention before I knew it was yours, so i'm not just saying that. I'm surprised it was so small- but it would definitely make a good present for a kid who wants to draw.
Great work, p.s remind me never to get on your bad side, don't want you slamming me over the head with a coffee pot, sir ;)

Jenn- thanks big sis! FB - done ;)

Steven- thanks man! how's life? painting?

Charles -many thanks sir!

Jeremy - thank you sir. Keep up the constant drawing - it's paying off!

Roddo -thanks dude. For sure- a pdf isn't going to replace the feeling of having that book in your hands.

Are you referring to that instructional book? I still haven't seen it! I asked them to send me a copy but they never did. I guess I'll have to buy a copy....lame.

Yeah - definitely a book for beginners. The tough part was that they wanted me to cover SO much so it's more of a brief overview than an in-depth look into any one discipline.

and...I would never slam a coffee pot into your cranium. A pot of hot tea ...maybe ;)

Congrats on the artbook. I am sure you are in some very fine company in that volume. I grew up listening to Geillor on the radio as a kid - I don't know how you feel, but I consider it an honor that you to get to do a project for him.
