****BudHead****
work in progress shots added
This really just started as a character study for a painting I am planning out. I kind of got lost in it for awhile and was just having fun with it, so it got a little more refined than I intended. There are some WIP shots included, but I must warn all that I am still no expert with the digital medium. I kind of just treat it as I would a traditional painting, more or less. If anyone would like larger pics, or has any questions I'd be glad to answer them the best I can. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend :)

See a step by step from another artist is always an enjoyement, full of informations. So thank you for that, Scott. I have absolutly no crit to made about this creature design, I dig it a lot. Specially the legs. The renders and textures are great. Great stuff, Scott. So, it's just the character study ? Can't wait to see the whole painting in that case !
Cheers.
Julien.
I'm agree with Julien, if it's just a study, I am really impatient to see the whole painting! Your BudHead is very charming, I like him a lot, especially his brawn skin. Very good job :)
Who are you kidding? This is way finished, or at least it should be. Lav it.
PS I especially like how the evolutionary process of this creature took care of genital shame.
F pants.
Mark
Superb work on your Blog !!
*just a note - Yeah, this little guy started out as a character for a larger painting. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted him to look like, and to be honest I didn't do enough sketches. So I started messing around in Painter IX.5 and I found myself getting really into this little dude.
Julien - thanks bud! I gotta get cracking on the whole painting. It will probably be less successful than the character study :(
SD - thanks again! It might be a while for the whole painting to be done. I'm looking at doing a fairly large oil painting of it.
Markus! - yeah- the study is totally finished- probably more than I would normally do for a character study. Haa- I'm glad you noticed his "genital shame" ! I got a good laugh or as they electronically emote these days -'LOL'
Andrew Glazebrook - thank you sir! I'll try to keep it interesting here :)
Mark Montague -thanks man! creatures and monsters deserve tons of love :)
I love this! It's a very unique design, and wonderfully done.
I just found your blog. Fantastic work! love it.
Holy fish paste! Your stuff rocks!
Aww. He's so patootie! Love the blues on him. Really nice job, my friend. I've finally bookmarked your blog. Stalker-mode, yknow?
This character is amazing. I am impressed with your talent to change gears and throw a new spin on your style.
A real and true boogie!! Hats off to you!
And as Mark said, great coverage...hehe...
Perfection.
The colors are wonderful on the lil dude, fun to see the different iterations too. Real nice work, man!
